| At First Presbyterian Church of Mesquite we are blessed to have a number of thriving, energetic and welcoming adult Sunday School Classes, in addition to our children’s and youth classes. Sunday School convenes weekly at 9:45 a.m. John Kusewitt serves as our Sunday School Superintendent with Mary McBain as Assistant Superintendent and Beth Gonzales as Sunday School Secretary.

| CHILDREN & YOUTH
|
| Sunday School is offered for all children, age 18 months and older. A nursery is available during the Sunday School hour for infants up to the age of of age 2. At age 2, a child is promoted into the 2 & 3 Year Old Class.
|
| All of our children’s classes from age 2 through 6th grade are studying “Walk With Me”, published by CRC. Our 2 & 3 Year Old class have a lesson designed to introduce very young children to scripture through storytelling, simple crafts and games in a nurturing environment. Children are promoted from the 2 & 3 Year Old class into the Preschool class either on Rally Day (at the end of August) or in March, depending upon the date the child reaches the age of 4.

| Thereafter, all children are promoted each Rally Day based on their age as of September 1. Children’s Classes are designated as Kindergarten and 1st Grade, 2nd & 3rd Grade, and 4th, 5th, and 6th Grade. We feel that children have a better opportunity for spiritual growth when they feel a part of a community of their peers to offer the encouragement of shared experiences.

YOUTH

| 7th & 8th Graders are in our Jr. High class. They are currently using Faith Alive, a CRC Publication.

| Senior High students study a variety of Christ-centered, biblically based books and topics.
|
ADULTS
|
| Christian Fellowship
|
Led by various members, this discussion class studies books by a variety of contemporary and classic Christian authors.
|
| Crossroads
|
Led by various members, this class for those age 25-40 studies topical and biblical matters.
|
| Discipleship
|
This class is led by various teachers on a rotating schedule. They study everything from contemporary Christian literature, books of the Bible, Reform Theology and, people who have shaped Christian beliefs over the years.

| Faith & Life, Geneva Fellowship and the Enquiry Classes
|
These classes study the Uniform series, The Present Word.
|
| Genesis
|
Led by Matt Armstrong, this class studies the Bible, one book at a time.
