First Presbyterian Church – Mesquite, Texas
- 622 Total Members
- Average attendance for Sunday services is 310
- 15 Sunday School classes (7 Adult & 8 Children/Youth)
Purpose:
- To work with the Session in planning for, developing and supervising the Christian education of the church in accordance with the policies and directions of the Christian Education Committee
Qualifications:
- To espouse a Christian theology consistent with the Presbyterian church tradition
- To be conversant in Scripture and theology
- To have qualities of an effective leader
Responsibilities:
- To provide oversight of all Christian education programs
- To schedule and supervise childcare staff
- To supervise and mentor a Youth Director in the development of a comprehensive youth program
- To prepare and present children’s sermons for two Sunday morning services
Benefits:
- Vacation – Two weeks/year (1 week after first six months, 2nd week after 1 year of service); Three weeks/year after 5 years service
- Educational Leave – Two weeks/year for approved (by CEC) educational leave
- Insurance – negotiable
Compensation:
- TBD by Session – (the average compensation for this area of the US was approximately $30K-$45K cash salary, depending on experience)
